This wiki is maintained continuously, and during Early Access game mechanics change faster than any single editor can track. If a page is wrong, outdated, or missing a detail you know, send it in below.
Report an error or send evidence
Every report is read by the editors. Corrections are applied to the page, and the page's Updated date moves so readers can see it changed.
What to report
The most useful reports are the ones a page cannot survive being wrong about:
- Broken facts. A spawn location, tool tier, recipe cost, port number or error-message string that no longer matches the game.
- Patch fallout. A patch changed a mechanic a page relies on, and the page's "last checked" note is now stale.
- Missing steps. You hit a problem a fix page walks through, and one step in the sequence didn't apply — say which step and what you saw instead.
- Wrong version info. Something stated as current that only applies to an older patch.
What counts as evidence here
The same rules apply to contributions as to the pages themselves. We cannot publish claims we cannot tie to a source, and we do not publish numbers that nobody has verified:
- Official sources — hytale.com pages, official patch notes, official documentation. Strongest evidence; pages verified against these carry a fact-checked note.
- Your own gameplay — a screenshot or clip plus the patch version it was taken on. This is how drop rates, coordinates and yields get onto pages.
- Community reports — a link to the Reddit thread, forum post or video, not a paraphrase. "People say" is not a source.
What gets rejected: numbers with no source, claims about unreleased content, and anything that cannot be re-checked later.
How corrections are applied
When a correction lands, the page's Updated date (the line under the title) moves, and the fact-checked note only stays if the corrected claim was verified against an official source. If a patch is the reason for the change, the update tracker gets an entry pointing at the affected pages — so a fix is never a silent rewrite.
The form above is the official channel. A public issue tracker is planned for contributors who want to work on corrections in the open; until it exists, this page is the process — every page follows it, including the ones fact-checked against official sources on September 25, 2026.
Site policy, in brief
Who we are and how the site is run, in one place:
- One page per real question. Pages start from a search query, not a database row — and this site doesn't publish an article for every trivial variation of a query.
- No invented numbers. Where exact values (spawn rates, drop chances, coordinates) aren't verifiable, the page says so instead of quoting a figure. Community-reported details are labelled as community-reported.
- The database supports the guides. It exists for structured lookups, not to pad page counts with auto-generated filler.
- Pages state what's known and how it's known. The highest-priority sources are always official — the Hytale site, official documentation and official patch notes — followed by gameplay footage and community reports, in that order.
