The database
This section is deliberately small. We don't generate thousands of auto-pages — we document what's genuinely useful for answering player questions, and link everything into the guides. The big auto-databases already exist; the useful version of this wiki is the problem-solving one.
Items and materials
Material pages are written around the questions players ask — where it spawns, what tool you need, what it crafts into:
- Silver OreLocations, pickaxe tier, and the equipment it crafts into.
- Softwood TrunksTree types, gathering efficiency, uses.
- GlassAcquisition chain and uses.
- All crafting chainsThe material ladder from wood to silver, station by station.
Mobs and creatures
Mob information lives inside the guides where it answers a question, rather than on stub pages:
- Beginner guideHostile encounters on day one — including the Trork camps near spawn.
- Animal farming guidePassive animals: penning, feeding, and production.
- Mining guideCave mobs and why the weapon comes before the pickaxe underground.
Crafting and recipes
- Crafting guideStations, recipe tiers and the material progression.
- Glass recipe · Silver chain
Zones and biomes
Orbis is divided into zones — the Emerald Grove (the lush forest zone most players start in) among them — each with distinct terrain, creatures and resources. Our zone coverage follows the same rule as everything else: written when it answers a question players actually have. Start with:
- Emerald Grove forestsSoftwood gathering in the starting zone.
- Emerald Grove undergroundCaves and mineshafts beneath the zone.
For zone-specific mechanics, the update tracker notes which patches change world generation and resource distribution.
Why not more pages?
Because a database row alone doesn't answer "how do I get this" or "what do I do with it". When "which mob drops X" becomes a real question with a verifiable answer, it gets a page — linked from the mining and crafting guides where it's asked. That's the whole policy.
